According to the doctors, the ‘hickey’ or ‘love bite’ his girlfriend has given him the night before has caused a blood clot that travelled to his brain. Paramedics were immediately dispatched towards the scene, but sadly Julio Couldn‘t be saved and died shortly after.
A adore bite, or perhaps a hickey, occurs when a person sucks on a small area of skin of (hopefully ) their romantic partner, causing tiny blood vessels to burst and leading to a bruise on the skin. They’re usually harmless, usually fading within a few weeks, but this one has gone rogue.
His 24-year-old unnamed girlfriend is now in hiding, with fears that she can be held liable on her boyfriend’s death.
It’s being claimed the suction from the ‘hickey’ was the reason for the clot which travelled to his brain, triggering a stroke. Julio’s adore bite might have occurred over a major artery, which would explain why the blood clot occurred.
This isn’t the very first time that the adore bite has caused serious harm either. In 2011, a 44-year-old woman was left partially paralysed after owning a stroke in very similar circumstances
